V41/V42 No Wind and/or Rain

  1. Check the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
    • Use new, brand-name alkaline batteries (dated at least 7 years in the future).
    • Install them according to the diagrams inside the battery compartment.
  2. Restart the display.
    • Unplug the power cord from the display for a few minutes.
    • Plug it back in and wait up to 3 minutes for wind and rain data to appear.
  3. If no data appears:
    • Move the sensor within 3–5 feet of the indoor display.
    • Press and release the SENSOR button three times to check the sensor ID.
(If you see dashes instead of a number, the sensor is not connected.)
    • While the sensor ID is displayed, hold the MINUS (-) button for 5 seconds to delete the ID (dashes will appear).
    • Spin the wind cups on the sensor for a few seconds, then wait up to 3 minutes for the display to reconnect.
  4. Still no wind or rain data? Try a factory reset:
    • Hold both the ALERTS and RAIN buttons for 5 seconds until the display resets.
    • Unplug the power cord, then press any button on the display at least 20 times to drain remaining power.
    • Plug the display back in and wait up to 3 minutes for it to reconnect to the sensors.
  5. If your station was connected to Wi-Fi, reconnect it:
    • Open the La Crosse View app.
    • Go to Menu > Connect Wi-Fi, then follow the on-screen instructions.
