- Check the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
- Use new, brand-name alkaline batteries (dated at least 7 years in the future).
- Install them according to the diagrams inside the battery compartment.
- Restart the display.
- Unplug the power cord from the display for a few minutes.
- Plug it back in and wait up to 3 minutes for wind and rain data to appear.
- If no data appears:
- Move the sensor within 3–5 feet of the indoor display.
- Press and release the SENSOR button three times to check the sensor ID.
(If you see dashes instead of a number, the sensor is not connected.) - While the sensor ID is displayed, hold the MINUS (-) button for 5 seconds to delete the ID (dashes will appear).
- Spin the wind cups on the sensor for a few seconds, then wait up to 3 minutes for the display to reconnect.
- Still no wind or rain data? Try a factory reset:
- Hold both the ALERTS and RAIN buttons for 5 seconds until the display resets.
- Unplug the power cord, then press any button on the display at least 20 times to drain remaining power.
- Plug the display back in and wait up to 3 minutes for it to reconnect to the sensors.
- If your station was connected to Wi-Fi, reconnect it:
- Open the La Crosse View app.
- Go to Menu > Connect Wi-Fi, then follow the on-screen instructions.
