What is the BAND ID Message when attempting to connect to Wi-Fi?

When trying to connect to Wi-Fi for the La Crosse View App, you may see the following message:

BAND ID = 5c:a6:e6:bf:fd:de (letters/numbers may vary)
*Configure button available one mobile device switches to Wi-Fi bands

The Band ID is assigned by your router based on your current WiFi connection. You should only be seeing this screen if you are attempting to connect the Wi-Fi display to a router without a separate 2.4GHz network.  It is only shown on this page to help assist if a technical installer is installing your system or if talking with one of our technicians during the installation.

For the following models if your router uses a combined network name for the 2.4GHz band and other bands (like 5 GHz) then this Band ID will change when you get physically far enough away from your router to force the mobile device to connect to the 2.4GHz band. For more general information about this and Wi-Fi setup please see this link- Connecting to the La Crosse View App

For all other La Crosse View models your station has several other ways to connect to WiFi. You do not need to use the mobile app if you are encountering difficulties. Please try one of these methods to connect:
