La Crosse Alerts Mobile: Unable to register weather station
Weather Station Registration
During the set up process you may experience trouble registering your weather station.
Start by:
Select the Account menu item on the home page of the app/website and make sure that the gateway is updating. If your gateway has been seen in the last couple of minutes:
- Press and hold the set button for 3 - 5 seconds until "Lcd" appears on the display.
- Press and release the set button 20 times until the display reads "Res Off".
- Press the up arrow button until the display reads "Res Lo".
- Press the set button and the device will quickly reset the internet connection.
- Return to the app and try to register the weather station again.
If your weather station has not been seen recently:
1. Power Cycle the display. If after 30 to 60 minutes your gateway does not update, you will need to delete and re-register.
2. Delete Weather Station and Sensor(s) if exist
- In the app/website locate and select the desired weather and sensor(s) under Your Devices.
- Select Settings.
- Select Delete Sensor and confirm. Repeat for all weather stations and sensors registered to the gateway.
3. Delete Gateway
- Select the Account menu item on the home page of the app/website.
- On the Current User Info screen scroll down to the Current Gateways section.
- Select the correct gateway serial number by comparing to the physical gateway.
- Press Delete Gateway button.
4. Res Lo
- Press and hold the set button for 3 - 5 seconds until "Lcd" appears on the display.
- Press and release the set button 20 times until the display reads "Res Off".
- Press the up arrow button until the display reads "Res Lo".
- Press the set button and the device will quickly reset the internet connection.
5. Factory Reset Gateway
- Remove the AC adaptor from the gateway
- Press and hold the gray button on the gateway then plug the AC adaptor back into the gateway. Make sure to keep the gray button pressed while doing this.
- Keep the grey button held in until the red light comes on, off and back on again.
- Wait for the four red blinks before trying re-registration.
6. Re-registration
- On the app/website home page, under Expansions Options, select Register New Gateway and follow the on screen instructions.
- Once the gateway is registered, if not prompted, return to the app/website home page, under Expansion Options, select Register New Weather Station (WS2816/C84612) and follow the on screen instructions.
