Projection
The projection will be continuously displayed if the AC cord is plugged into the wall. Please check that the AC cord is properly plugged in. On the unit, line the cord up with the hole and push it in firmly. Sometimes it helps to use a pen, as the opening is small. Once you are sure it is in correctly, remove the batteries. If the display goes blank, your AC cord is not solidly in place.
Backlight
A unit that features a color display screen or is equipped with a backlit display will remain illuminated only when the AC power cord is connected and plugged into a wall outlet. This means that continuous power from the AC source is necessary to keep the display screen lit at all times. If the AC cord is not connected, the display will initially remain lit for a brief period, typically lasting between 5 to 15 seconds. After this short duration, the display will automatically turn off and go dark to conserve battery power or energy. This behavior ensures that the unit’s display does not remain unnecessarily illuminated when it is running solely on battery power or without an external power source.
